The second chapter of the year begins, as January is about to go. Cheer yourself for what you accomplish and for your results. In this blog post, I want to share with you how I plan my month in February.
Yes, a new month, new goals, new projects, and what else? What about unfinished plans? Projects you didn`t begin because you forgot to write them down?
So February begins with many planets in the sky which will fuel our dreams and goals if we dare to use their energy.
One gift from January is Mercury who just went retrograde in Aquarius. His energy will air all our ideas. The first tip to befriend Mercury is to use your Journal more often; or your Agenda or notebook, whatever you are using. Or just a piece of paper. And write down all your ideas.
Why am I sharing this? Because this is a great way we can fuel our projects while gaining more clarity! And writing your ideas is the next step to plan your activity.
So here we go welcoming a new month!
Are you excited to know how I plan my month?
When I was a teenager I used journals and agendas and I always took notes.
Then, in “another lifetime”, I worked as a legal advisor, which helped me with daily organizing, using agenda for appointments, or any other meetings or tasks to do.
Through the years, I was grateful for how much this helped me create the habit of planning my time.
Every year I begin a new agenda, and I write there for keeping the clarity.
Last year, I was studying some new courses important for my personal growth and also for marketing my business. Especially, for Facebook, as you know, if you are using this platform, there is all about the algorithm.
So I tried focusing only on weekly tasks because my main goal was to simplify the list of classes I am focusing on. I began to notice my weekly plans and see how much from my attention and time was going to these classes.
Still keeping the momentum is very important I know but too much information sometimes is just too much.
Pursuing my idea to simplify and to focus more and more only on the most important things that deserve my attention, I finally get to these three:
Plan for a month
Plan for a week
Plan for a day
Considering you already did your plan for one year(or longer-term goals), just borrow my idea to focus monthly on stepping stones you can create to reach your major goals.
Because we all have things to do.
And the idea of using these planners is that your brain will shift from procrastination to more action.
And this is a game-changer tool!
For our mind, the moment you write your ideas using a pen it is like you already did some action to finish that task, to end that project, to begin that challenge. And writing adds a lot to the manifestation of your desires. Everything you write with intention and using the right words can materialize easily in the real world. Whatever you may need at this moment, in your life, you send this message to your mind:
“I commit to doing it. I am doing this now.”
This is why I don`t use an app or software when I want to plan my month or year. Even they are great. Of course, you can use them if they serve your mind. Google calendar can be a great tool, even there are more others to mention. But you can do research and use what app fits your needs.
So how to begin planning your new month?
First, review your last month, your results, your ended tasks, or the ones put on hold. Evaluate!
This is a personal process you can do in your own way. I highly suggest you use all of these to create your own planner also.
And remember to congratulate yourself for the things that are already done!
Then the preparation begins! Let`s dive in in the way I plan my month:
- First of all, when you reviewed your last month, you may be noticing some tasks remained undone.
Next, migrate them to your new monthly plan. Or if they aren`t so important move them to a month ahead. Yes, talking about Mercury, at the beginning of this blog post, I want to add that he always helps us RE: evaluate, organize, construct, conciliate, and so on.
So this is a perfect moment, for the next three weeks to re-evaluate all your plans and projects and begin again!
- Now, add all the events that are important for you, like birthdays, family events. All the personal events.
- Add three or more goals for the month.
- If you make a plan only for your business, this is the part where you add the monthly tasks you need to do in order to grow your business.
- Add any dates to remember or important notes(here you can write what project you will migrate to other month).
- Next, create your first weekly plan: tasks to do in your family; in your business(social media presence, plan content, interviews, blog posts, video, podcasts, etc.); for your health and wellness(weekly routine, meals, exercising, etc.).
- After all, create your daily plans. This is where you can use your creativity to add any goals you have for the day, things to do, or any other notes.
- You can be inspired to add affirmations, mantras, or quotes that can boost your inner self to be motivated. Or the word of the year(you can read more about it here).
And now you are done!
You can begin working on creating the month that you desire, being sure you won`t feel rushed to get things done and you schedule everything in time.
Do you also use monthly planners?
If not, you can try these three planners’ ideas and see how they work for you. I`d love to know how you plan your months, what tools you used and how they worked for you.
